Educational Event Coordinator Example: Mary was the Director of the Lutheran Elementary School Tournament (L.E.S.T.) at Concordia University for 17 years. Under Mary’s leadership the event became financially self-sustaining, achieved a broader range of academic, athletic and artistic participation opportunities, and grew to serving over 1000, 5th-8th Grade students. Mary continues to volunteer with the L.E.S.T. and is currently authoring a technology competition for the annual event.
Education Career Consultant • Mary has had many opportunities to guide individuals who have been teachers and needed a change, who are currently teaching and desired advice on how to improve their teaching and/or who want to become a credentialed K-12 teacher over her 30+ years of educational experience.
Education Career Consultant Example: Mary has helped numerous professional educators identify their strengths and career aspirations. On one occasion Mary advised a professional educator to leave a dead end position and substitute teach so they could better position themselves to achieve their goal of securing a full-time teaching position.
Curriculum Development
Any thorough examination of a K-12 curriculum will involve Technology. Mary will work with a staff to evaluate their current curriculum, build consensus on whether or not any part of the curriculum should be changed, explore alternatives, coordinate a plan of action and implement.
Curriculum Development Example: When a school went to blended grades, Mary designed and presented a program that demonstrated how curriculum standards would be achieved to staff, school board and student’s families.
Special Projects
Mary has proven experience in completing large and small projects in K-12 educational settings and higher education where she has demonstrated confidentiality, strong organizational skills, creativity, and met deadlines!

Mary is responsible for making sure that Concordia University-Portland can legally operate all of its online programs across the United States.
Mary reviewed the reviewed the coursework of 9th-12th grade students to make sure that they were on track for meeting learning targets and graduation requirements.
